Bright and sunny villa with a balcony overlooking the harbour and town of Porthmadog. This apartment has 2 bedrooms, Shower and WC on the ground floor, a double bedroom and a 2 single bedroom. On the 1st floor is a big Living Room with view of Porthmadog Harbour.

Amazing Christmas holiday. the house was great and the views beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped and parking space right by the door which was very convenient. The location was superb- walking distance to the beach, the pubs and the shops. We also went on the little steam train- the railway station was a few yards away from the property. Thank you for everything- especially for a welcome present- it was a lovely surprise.

Very comfortable apartment with a very well equipped kitchen - had everything you needed.
Lovely view of the harbour and the steam train is right next door so you can hear the steam and the tooting -
absolutely wonderful!
We return to this site many times. Porthmadog has everything, the mountains, the sea, castles and Portmeirion is on your doorstep - well worth a visit.

Fantastic place, very well maintained and comfortable would book again. Fantastic view of the port and very near a small walk area for the dog. With in walking distance of the shops and train station. Rooms very clean and tidy, no washing machine but there is a laundrette across the road from Tesco, easy to use.

Good location and well equipped kitchen. However 2 very small sofas, not really suitable for 4 adults. Only 2 outside chairs as well. Double bed comfy but singles a bit creaky. Small TV for the size of the room. Possibly ideal for 2 adults and 2 children.

We had a wonderful stay, the accommodation was spot on, very clean and comfortable, we had amazing views across the harbour and the hills/ mountains in background it was stunning, we will definitely be coming again and will recommend to family and friends

This apartment is very well located with harbour front position and railway station close by. There is no issue with noise from the station. There is a convenient and ample car parking space for one car. During our stay there were also visitor car parking spaces available. Supermarkets Tesco, Aldi and Lidl are a short car journey away and there is a Spar shop on the town’s main street.
There is access to a balcony through the living area patio doors and on the one occasion the weather permitted us to use it during our stay we found it very pleasant and relaxing. We found the pole mechanism by which the blinds were pushed back and pulled on to be rather awkward at times.
The accommodation provided is a good standard overall with the kitchen of new appearance and well equipped. The dishwasher worked well and was easy to use. In the living area there are two sofas which are reasonably comfortable although rather soft and low for our liking. The arms on the sofas are showing some signs of use.
There are two bedrooms both of good appearance. We used the room with double bed which we found to be comfortable. There was adequate open hanging space for our clothing with further open hanging space in the other twin bedroom.
Our small criticisms relate to the standard of cleaning and include:
- tea bag drip/run marks had been left on the outside of the kitchen bin.
- the occasional tables in the living area had what appeared to be tomato ketchup stains not cleaned off.
- hairs were found in bathroom wash basin – this caused my wife to look further, and she discovered that the floor behind both the wash basin in the bathroom and behind the toilet in the separate WC had not been cleaned properly.
We enjoyed our stay in this apartment and in Porthmadog itself which is also an excellent base for trips out to other places of interest. We were not lucky with the weather during our stay but we did have one evening of warm sunshine and found then that the area around the harbour had a completely different feel to it and was very pleasant indeed.

The best thing was the fabulous service from the management team.
The toilet faucet flushing function needs replacing.
It would have been nice to have a clothes washer but you never said there was a clothes washer there.
We loved being there

Pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation. All nicely appointed and well equipped. The only suggestion I would make is it would be more comfortable if there was a small bistro table and chair set on the balcony so you would be able to eat outside when the weather is nice as it gets the evening sun. Altogether a wonderful week. Thank you

Fridge dirty in the bottom.. microwave Rusty should have been replaced ages ago.. blind pull on side view window broken.. main patio window adjuster - pull not attached had to get on chair to reattach it.. window in very small toilet unable to open to get fresh air in (needed in area of this size) ..Smelt of dampness in property .

We really enjoyed our stay.
The house was well equipped and very bright and airy.
It is close to the town and all the amenities but also nice and quiet.
Near enough the National Park for walking in the hills and the coast for coastal walks

We have stayed in other apartments here but this was by far the best. Generous space, modern and clean throughout. Well equipped large kitchen, lovely balcony with views. We would highly recommend!

First time visiting North Wales and the location of The Moorings enabled us to visit all the places we wanted. At the end of a busy day the apartment was very comfortable and relaxing to come back to especially with the Harbour view. Everything needed for a self-catering holiday was provided.

the location on the wharf side gave interesting viewing of boats entering and leaving port. siting on balcony was a bonus. The house was very well equipped and comfortable, utensils and kitchen had all relevant tools and more. The general location on wharf side was easy walking distance of the town and very close to the narrow gauge railway. I would not hesitate to rebook this property.
